TEACHING STAFF

GRACE MEEKING (SCHOOL PRINCIPAL)

Grace began dancing at the age of 5 at Roshe Performing Arts in Felbridge, taking exams in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz Dance.

Grace took part in many shows at the Hawth Theatre in Crawley and successfully auditioned for the Weald Theatre Group Pantomime at Clair Hall in Haywards Heath.

At 16 Grace gained a place at The Brit School for Performing Arts where she studied on their Dance diploma course for two years. She then went on to train at Performers College in Essex where she studied Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Jazz, Singing and Acting gaining her Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre.

Grace has appeared as a dancer on both Children In Need and Text Santa and has also performed at the Daisy Ball at Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

Since graduating in 2013 Grace has taught both dance and musical theatre at a number of different schools and dance clubs. In summer 2014 Grace travelled to Maine in America to work for a children’s summer camp. She took on the role of director of dance and put together two large performances whilst at camp. Grace also teaches classes at a range or primary schools and dance schools in the local area.

In 2015 Grace decided to open her own dance school ‘Gracie Grooves Dance Studio’ providing classes from the Melody Movement syllabus created by Jill Bridger. Since then the school has grown and we now offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Street for children aged 2 years and up!
