Grace Meeking (SCHOOL PRINCIPAL)

Grace began dancing at the age of 5 at Roshe Performing Arts in Felbridge, taking exams in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz Dance. Grace took part in many shows at the Hawth Theatre in Crawley and successfully auditioned for the Weald Theatre Group Pantomime at Clair Hall in Haywards Heath. At 16 Grace gained a place at The Brit School for Performing Arts where she studied on their Dance diploma course for two years. She then went on to train at Performers College in Essex where she studied Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Jazz, Singing and Acting gaining her Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre.

Grace has appeared as a dancer on both Children In Need and Text Santa and has also performed at the Daisy Ball at Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

Since graduating in 2013 Grace has taught both dance and musical theatre at a number of different schools and dance clubs. In summer 2014 Grace travelled to Maine in America to work for a children’s summer camp. She took on the role of director of dance and put together two large performances whilst at camp.

In 2015 Grace decided to open her own dance school ‘Gracie Grooves Dance Studio’ providing classes from the Melody Movement syllabus created by Jill Bridger. Since then the school has grown and we now offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Musical Theatre and Street Dance for children aged 3 years and over!

Grace is also a qualified Urban Cheer Coach with UKCA, a Children's Theatre Chaperone and holds a Full Paediatric First Aid Certificate

Emma (School Club Teacher)

Emma trained at Roshe Performing Arts School for 14 years, achieving Advanced 1 in ISTD Ballet and Advanced 2 in ISTD Modern, Tap and Classical Greek and RAD Ballet. Emma achieved her ISTD Diploma in Dance Instruction (DDI) in 2014. Miss Emma went on to study at Bath Spa University and has a degree in Theatre Production BA(Hons). Emma is also a Certified Teacher of Progressing Ballet Technique and is currently working towards her DDE in Modern Theatre and Tap.
